Supervisor Training and Education Program (STEP)

Promotion to a supervisory position requires and Officer to change and adapt to meet new job and organizational requirements. STEP trains Officers to understand and know how to change their orientation from doing things as an individual to the recognition that supervisors must get work done through others.

Efficiency of business as a public agency

Officers trained for the street require training when promoted to command positions to prepare them for executive responsibilities. LEF provides many training opportunities to help Officers as they move up the ladder.
